Got Any Doubts?

What is RDA and why does it matter?

RDA (Relative Dentin Abrasivity) measures the abrasive potential of a paste on dentin. Lower RDA = less wear. Cavex ProphyPaste Fine RDA 50–60 is low-abrasivity — safe for regular use, sensitive teeth, and exposed dentin.

What is it used for?

Routine clinical tooth polishing during scaling and prophylaxis appointments. Also used for surface preparation before bonding, bracket bonding, and whitening procedures.

Is it suitable for sensitive patients?

Yes — low RDA of 50–60 makes it ideal for patients with gingival recession, exposed dentin, or hypersensitivity.

What equipment is needed?

Standard prophy angle with rubber polishing cup or prophy brush. Apply a small amount of paste to the cup and polish at low speed.

How much paste per tooth?

A small pea-sized amount in the rubber cup is sufficient for each tooth surface. Avoid excess paste build-up.
