Direction To Use

How to Mix and Use Goldstone Green Dental Plaster — Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1 – Measure the Correct Water-to-Powder Ratio
For accurate, consistent results always use the correct water-to-plaster ratio of 30 ml of clean water per 100 g of Goldstone Green powder. Use a calibrated measuring cylinder for water and a weighing scale for powder. Deviating from this ratio will affect the setting time, strength, and surface quality of the final model.
Step 2 – Add Powder to Water (Spatulation)
First, pour the measured amount of clean water at room temperature into a clean, dry rubber mixing bowl. Then sift the measured Goldstone Green plaster powder gradually into the water — never add water to powder. Allow the powder to soak for 30 seconds before beginning to mix. This soaking period ensures uniform wetting of all plaster particles.
Step 3 – Mix Thoroughly
Using a plaster spatula, mix the powder and water together with smooth, steady strokes against the bowl wall to eliminate lumps and incorporate all particles. Mix for approximately 60 seconds until a homogeneous, lump-free, creamy consistency is achieved. For best results, use a mechanical vacuum mixer to eliminate air bubbles and improve surface smoothness.
Step 4 – Pour the Impression
You have a working time of 4 minutes from the start of mixing. Immediately begin pouring the mixed Goldstone Green into the impression. Start from one end of the impression tray and allow the mix to flow gradually, using a vibrator to help the stone flow into all impression details and eliminate air voids. Ensure all teeth impressions and critical areas are properly filled without trapping air.
Step 5 – Allow to Set Undisturbed
Place the poured impression on a flat, level surface and allow it to set without disturbance. Initial setting occurs within 5–6 minutes — do not handle or move the model during this phase. Allow the model to reach final set within 10–12 minutes before attempting to separate it from the impression.
Step 6 – Separate the Model from the Impression
Once the final set is complete and the plaster feels firm and warm to the touch, carefully separate the model from the impression tray. Use a gentle rocking motion to avoid breakage. Avoid premature separation as the model may still be brittle before reaching full strength.
Step 7 – Trim & Finish the Model
Trim the base and sides of the Goldstone Green model on a model trimmer to the desired shape and thickness. The model reaches 250 kg/cm² compressive strength within 1 hour and 500 kg/cm² at 24 hours — for any critical trimming, articulation, or prosthetic work requiring maximum strength, allow a full 24 hours before proceeding.
Step 8 – Clean & Store Equipment
Clean all mixing bowls, spatulas, and equipment immediately after use with running water before the residual plaster hardens. Dried plaster is very difficult to remove once set.
Step 9 – Store Remaining Powder Correctly
Seal unused Goldstone Green plaster powder in its original foil pack or HDPE bag immediately after use. Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and humidity. Exposure to moisture will cause premature hydration and reduce mixing quality and strength of the product.
