Direction To Use
- Preparation: Before use, check the unit and handpiece for any visible damage or defects. Make sure the scaler is properly connected to a power source and turned on.
- Tip selection: Select the appropriate tip for the procedure and attach it to the handpiece. The scaler comes with a range of tips suitable for different procedures, such as supragingival scaling, subgingival scaling, and implant maintenance. Make sure the tip is securely fastened to the handpiece before use.
- Power and water adjustments: Adjust the power setting to the desired level using the power adjustment knob. The scaler has a range of power settings from low to high. Adjust the water flow rate to the appropriate level using the water adjustment knob. The water flow rate can be adjusted to suit patient comfort and the specific procedure.
- Positioning and angulation: Place the tip of the scaler against the tooth surface, angling it at a 45-degree angle towards the gum line. Apply moderate pressure and use a back-and-forth motion to remove plaque, tartar, or stains. Avoid using excessive pressure or angling the tip too aggressively, as this can cause discomfort or damage to the tooth surface.
- Water spray function: Use the water spray function to rinse the tip and flush away debris from the teeth. The scaler has a water spray function that can be activated by pressing the water control button on the handpiece.
- Moving on to the next tooth: Move on to the next tooth and repeat the process until all teeth have been cleaned. When moving to a new tooth, adjust the angle and position of the tip accordingly.
- Completion of procedure: Once the procedure is complete, turn off the scaler and detach the tip from the handpiece.
