Setup

• Connect the Handpiece: Attach the HB-1L handpiece to the compatible piezoelectric surgery unit (e.g., Ultrasurgery, US-II LED, Surgical Touch)
• Install Tips: Select and securely attach the appropriate surgical tip based on the procedure. Ensure the tip is compatible with the handpiece
• Water Supply: Connect the irrigation system to ensure a steady flow of coolant during the procedure. Adjust the water flow rate as needed

Operating Modes

• Levels 1-2: For porous bone (low density)
• Levels 2-3: For Class III bone (uniform density)
• Levels 3-4: For Class II bone (high density)
• Levels 5-7: For Class I bone (high density).

Note: Adjust the water flow to optimize cooling and visibility.

Periodontic Mode:

• Switch to periodontal mode for procedures involving gum tissue
• Adjust power and water flow as needed

Endodontic Mode:

• Use this mode for root canal treatments
• Similar to periodontal mode, adjust power and water flow

Self-Cleaning Mode:

• Activate this mode after each procedure to clean the irrigation lines
• Press the foot pedal to confirm cleaning for about 25 seconds

During the Procedure

• Monitor Temperature: The ultrasonic technology minimizes heat generation. Ensure the working area remains below 38ºC to avoid thermal damage
• Control Visibility: The integrated LED light enhances visibility in the surgical area
• Maintain Sterility: After each use, disassemble the handpiece for sterilization. The handpiece and tips can be sterilized at 134ºC

Post-Procedure

• Clean the Equipment: After completing the surgery, perform the self-cleaning procedure to maintain the irrigation system
• Disassemble for Sterilization: Carefully disassemble the handpiece and tips for cleaning and sterilization
• Store Properly: Place the handpiece and accessories in a sterilization box or carrying case for safe storage
