Prepare the Handpiece:

• Ensure the Woodpecker LX16 Diode Laser system is turned off before attaching or removing the handpiece.

Attach the Handpiece:

• Connect the handpiece to the Woodpecker LX16 Diode Laser system by inserting and securing the cable into the appropriate port.

Insert the Fiber Tip:

• Insert the fiber tip into the handpiece and screw it in clockwise until secure.

Replace the Sleeve:

• If replacing the handpiece sleeve, press the handpiece switch to pull out the old sleeve. Insert a new sleeve carefully and ensure it is seated properly.

Clean and Sterilize:

• After each use, remove the fiber tip and handpiece sleeve. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize the components according to standard infection control procedures.

Handle with Care:

• Avoid excessive bending or squeezing of the tail cord as it contains delicate glass fibers. Store the cord properly to prevent damage.

Dust Protection:

• When the handpiece is not in use, remove the dustproof plug by turning it counterclockwise. Tighten it clockwise to protect the lens from dust and contamination.

Operational Check:

• Before starting procedures, verify that the handpiece and fiber tip are securely attached and functioning correctly.
