Usage- In oral and maxillofacial surgery
Contra Indication: Do not use the Surgic smart on patients with pace-makers or other implantable electronic devices. The same requirement applies also to the operator.
An electrosurgical knife could interfere with correct functioning of the device.

Direction To Use

Setup and Preparations:

  • Ensure the unit is placed on a stable surface near the dental workstation.
  • Connect the power supply to the unit and plug it into a suitable electrical outlet (100V-240V, 50Hz/60Hz).
  • Check that the foot pedal is connected securely to the unit.
  • Fill the water reservoir with a suitable sterile saline solution.
  • Insert the desired tip securely into the handpiece.

Power On:

  • Switch on the Surgic Smart Piezosurgery Unit using the power button.
  • Verify that the unit displays the correct software version (BoneSurgical4-V1.0.0).

Adjust Settings:

  • Set the desired operational mode on the control panel, if applicable.
  • Adjust the power level using the appropriate controls.

Sterilization:

  • Ensure that the applied parts (tips) are properly sterilized before use. Follow recommended sterilization protocols.

Positioning and Operation:

  • Position the handpiece with the selected tip in the desired area for the surgical procedure.
  • Use the multi-function foot pedal for control. Press to activate and release to deactivate.

Perform the Procedure:

  • Apply gentle pressure and move the handpiece in a controlled manner over the target area.
  • Monitor the progress of the procedure and adjust settings as needed.

Monitor Water Flow:

  • Ensure a steady flow of water to the tip for cooling and irrigation during the procedure. Adjust as necessary.

Post-Procedure:

  • After completing the procedure, switch off the unit using the power button.
  • Disconnect the handpiece and remove the used tip for proper disposal or re-sterilization.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Clean the handpiece and unit according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Empty and clean the water reservoir after each use.

Shutdown:

  • Switch off the Surgic Smart Piezosurgery Unit and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
